When I began this blog in December 2020, I was not entirely pleased with the name, Our Journey. I wanted something poetic and subtle—altogether more beautiful. Arriving at a fitting name has required a lengthy fermentation. I hope you will agree that the result, Winter Wheat, is something other than vinegar. Â
For me the name is evocative of where I am in my own life cycle but also where humanity is, having entered a truly biting winter. This may be a dark season but all nights are full of dreams. And in the bitter cold, beneath the snow, a new crop waits.

That's a very fitting new title and theme for your journal. Winter wheat has nutritional benefits, including a higher protein content. So the reward of this planting is greater...IF we we make it. I look forward to where your new adventures and reports will take us!
Supposedly it last a couple years. Also red winter wheat is an heirloom variety. I bought quite a bit when everyone started talking about Gates messing with the food supply but haven't used any. Glad I have it, although I think it would be better used in Gaza.
What's the status of your trip?
