This is brilliantly expressed, those things in life, those passages, we share with other creatures, and what we can learn from them, what we can see of ourselves in them. P.L. h
What a beautiful account and reflection! <3 I could see the fledging dove not failing but succeeding with every attempt, as we do in our own lives. Thank you!
Yes, it is a brilliantly expressed story about Cara's compassion and concern for one of our feathered friends. which touched me, as an animal rights guy and vegetarian. Eloquent use of words in explaining the details of the birds progress over several days. They are sentient beings, and mom & pop was looking out for their baby and encouraging it to do more each day, which the bird did. The animal kingdom grows fast and learns even faster, in order to survive on it's own at an early age. Thanks for sharing this beautiful story with your readers!
Thank you, Frank. The birds here in Mexico on the north shore of Lake Chapala are truly amazing and my days are accompanied by birdsong. It's a joy listening to all the varied songs mixed together. I wake up with a smile thanks to the birds.
Very good my young padawan learner. Wise you were to not bring it in where it would bond with you and sit on your head. It seems you're the youngest on the thread but I'm glad to see you writing.

Thank you, my friend. And thank you for making me laugh yet again.
Thank you, J.R. At 63 I'm still fledging. That little bird is way ahead of me. ;-)
